Yin is a style of yoga based on the Taoist concepts of yin and yang. While yang represents active movement, heat, and light, yin represents stillness, coolness, and slowness.
As such, our yin practice emphasizes gentle movement between poses and long periods of stillness in each posture. We will hold a series of passive stretches for 3-5 minutes with support from provided props. This practice encourages a deep physical and energetic release by allowing us to turn inwards and connect with our bodies and minds. Whether you are new or familiar with yin yoga, this class is designed to be uniquely for you and what you are in need of. Each class will leave you feeling grounded, more in-tune with your body & spirit and better connected to different yoga poses. Yoga requires no minimum in physical activity and Eileen, your instructor, will warmly meet you where you are at. This series is offered on the last Tuesday of the month from 7-8p. |

*parking note: When you arrive, you are invited to park in the driveway or to utilize on-street parking; this is a tight-knit neighborhood and space is particularly limited during a class or event. Our neighbors thank you in advance for keeping their driveways accessible, their lawns free from tires and the street passable. Your mindfulness and care when parking is deeply appreciated. |
